Samsung Galaxy S26 Model Numbers Spotted, No Plus Variant

Image
Samsung has been in the news a lot in recent weeks. Just yesterday, the company launched its new foldable Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7, among other products. However, the rumor mill continues to swirl, and the firm’s next flagship mobile phones are already showing signs of life. In a recent development, the model numbers for the Samsung Galaxy S26 lineup have been spotted by a certification body. The most interesting aspect seems to be the potential absence of a “Plus” model for 2026. For years, Samsung’s top-tier S-series phones have generally followed a predictable pattern: a standard model, a “Plus” variant, and a super-premium “Ultra.” But as new model numbers for the Galaxy S26 begin to surface, there’s a glaring omission: where’s the Galaxy S26 Plus? Samsung Galaxy S26 model numbers leave out the S26 Plus Database listings (spotted by SammyPolice) from GSMA currently show three devices. There are model numbers for the core Galaxy S26 (SM-S942), a distinctive Galaxy S2...

Samsung Phones May Get On-device Voicemail, Following iOS steps

Samsung appears to draw inspiration from the success of iOS’s Live Voicemail feature. The South Korean tech giant could be planning to incorporate a similar functionality in One UI soon. A teardown of the One UI 8 beta code has indicated that Samsung may be planning to offer on-device voicemail functionality for Galaxy devices. Samsung could offer on-device voicemail in One UI for Galaxy products The folks over at Android Authority have spotted an on-device voicemail feature within Samsung’s One UI 8 beta code. As per the string of codes, Samsung’s feature will allow users to set the Galaxy phones to redirect incoming calls to an on-device voicemail. Similar to the Live Voicemail functionality in iOS, users can intercept the call while the caller is recording their message or check voicemails later. Furthermore, the strings reveal that users will likely be able to customize the ring time before the call redirects to voicemail. As of now, the One UI code doesn’t mention anything ab...

Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ditched the Pen — But Samsung's Not Done With It Yet

Image
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 has ditched the S Pen. That’s not exactly a secret at this point. Some people were left disappointed by that, but the S Pen could return to Samsung’s foldables in the future. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 did ditch the S Pen, but Samsung’s not done with it just yet That’s not something we expected to talk about so soon after the Galaxy Z Fold 7 launch, but there you have it. Samsung has confirmed that it’s developing “thinner and innovative” S Pen technologies. That information comes from the Executive Director of Samsung’s Mobile division, Kang Min-seok. He shared that comment with ETNews, a Korean publication. If Samsung ends up getting the tech it needs, it could return the S Pen to its book-style foldables. “The Fold 7 emphasized that consumers want a thin and light product. Please think of it (S Pen removal) as a trade-off where you lose one if you choose one. We are also researching and developing thinner and innovative technologies for the S Pen, so we wil...

First Look at Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra Hints at a More Immersive Screen

Image
Lately, leaks about Samsung‘s next biggest slate have intensified. A new leak has revealed the first front-facing image of the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. The picture reveals some interesting details, such as a potentially smaller notch. As a bonus, there’s also a new image of the upcoming Galaxy S25 FE. Since their inception, Samsung’s “Ultra” tablets have had a notch. It’s positioned to act as a “webcam” when using the tablet horizontally—such as with the keyboard accessory. The notch on these tablets—including the latest Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra—isn’t too large and remains a small section of the enormous display. However, it seems Samsung now wants to reduce its size even further. Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra leaked image The image leaked by the reliable Evan Blass shows a Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra with a more “waterdrop”-style notch, less rectangular. While the reduction in size might seem minor, it can actually contribute to a more immersive viewing experience. A less obtrusive notch means ...

Running Any App on Your Galaxy Z Flip 7's Cover Display: Here's How

Image
The outer display on Samsung‘s Galaxy Z Flip phones is incredibly handy for quick checks. However, officially, it’s pretty limited on which apps it can run. If you’ve been craving more functionality from that sleek external screen, there’s a way. Thanks to a module from Samsung’s own Good Lock app, you can actually run almost any app on your Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7, Z Flip 7 FE, or Z Flip 6’s cover display. It’s pretty sad that you still can’t run any app on the cover display of Flip devices by default. Direct rivals, like the Motorola Razr foldable phones, allow this. Fortunately, there are tools like MultiStar that let you bypass this limitation. How to run any app on your Galaxy Z Flip 7—and other Flips—cover display Setting up MultiStar isn’t very complicated and increases the versatility of your handset. If you are not aware, MultiStar is a module of Good Lock, Samsung’s customization app. You can unlock the full potential of your Z Flip’s cover device by following the steps ...

Samsung Trademarks Tri-Fold Name It Likely Won’t Use; Launch Month Tipped

Image
The name of Samsung’s first tri-fold smartphone has seemingly just been revealed, while we also have a good idea of when it may launch. Let’s take it one step at a time and talk about the name of the device first. Samsung trademarked the ‘Galaxy Z TriFold’ name, but it likely won’t use it Folks over at GalaxyClub spotted a new trademark application by Samsung. The company trademarked the ‘Galaxy Z TriFold’ name in South Korea. This name is kind of self-explanatory, and could be used by Samsung. Galaxy Z TriFold trademark Just to be perfectly clear, while this name has been trademarked, that does not guarantee it will be the name of the company’s first tri-fold handset. In fact, we’re kind of skeptical, as it’s far from catchy and a bit odd for a product name. Samsung and other companies tend to trademark a bunch of potential names for upcoming products, and then use only some of them. So… there’s a good chance this won’t be the name of the first tri-fold device from Samsung. Based...
