Samsung Galaxy A56: Ultimate Buyers Guide
The Samsung Galaxy A56 5G arrived in March 2025 along with two of its siblings, the Galaxy A26 5G and Galaxy A36 5G. This smartphone is the most powerful in the series, even though it’s just a mid-range smartphone. It’s aimed at consumers who don’t require flagship smartphones like devices from the Galaxy S25 series and users who are not interested in foldable devices such as the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6.
The Galaxy A56 does come with a solid spec sheet, which we’ll talk about in a second, and it also has a nice design. Samsung wanted to create a nice-looking smartphone that will appeal to consumers while keeping the price in check. Granted, the Galaxy A56 is not exactly cheap, but it’s not expensive either, more on that soon. Let’s get down to specs, and then we’ll move to various other sections.
The Samsung Galaxy A56 specs
The Samsung Galaxy A56 is a mid-range smartphone, and such are its specifications. The phone is fueled by the Samsung Exynos 1580 processor. That chip is combined with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. Do note that storage expansion is not available, though, and that some markets could have different RAM and storage configurations. In the US, the phone comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage only. No other options are available.

The device is IP67 certified for water and dust resistance, though.
Samsung did promise 6 years of Android OS and security updates for the device. That’s not bad at all, considering this is a mid-range handset. Now, in regards to cameras. There are three located on the back. A 50-megapixel main camera (f/1.8 aperture, OIS) is backed by a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera (f/2.2 aperture) and a 5-megapixel macro camera (f/2.4 aperture). The Samsung Galaxy A56 measures 162.2 x 77.5 x 7.4mm and weighs 198 grams. It comes in four colors: Awesome Graphite, Awesome Lightgray, Awesome Olive, and Awesome Pink.
